Through the course of Light Path Study 1, I created 24 individual light path modules. The modules are 1” cubes that are printed with conduits where optical material is to be filled. This allows the modules to deliver light from one side to another. An added benefit of the technology is that some internal illumination of the path can occur, allowing the internal paths to illuminate. The modules are interlocking and stackable; each has its own unique internal light path. This allows for building displays whose information is being transmitted from greater distances or must curve around obstacles. Some of the cubes are designed to blend different colors of lights inside the module.
